No Place for NRC in Andhra pradesh: Jagan

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy, on Monday, opened up his views regarding the National Register of Citizens (NRC), claiming that the state government will not support its implementation in the state.
Reddy becomes the third Chief Minister to oppose the Bharatiya Janata Party and come out against the National Register of Citizens after Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Naveen Patnaik from Odisha also refused to implement it.

Andhra Pradesh has about 11-12 percent Muslims and they have a bigger presence in the Rayalaseema region that the Chief Minister was touring. It was only 10 days ago that the YSR Congress Party had supported the Citizens Amendment Bill passed in the Parliament.
