No Relation between Kodela’s Death and Government: Botsa

Former Andhra Pradesh Speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao’s death has triggered a political slugfest in the state after TDP President Chandrababu Naidu accused that YSRCP is responsible for it. He said that YSRCP has booked many fake cases on Kodela which made him go through mental agony which in turn made him to commit suicide. Refusing the statements of Babu, AP Municipal Minister Botsa Satyanarayana said the government did not torture Botsa. Some cases were filed against Kodela and family members based on complaints given by their victims, said Botsa.

Chandrababu and Kodela’s daughter Vijaya Lakshmi accused YSRCP and said the party is the reason for his death. The conflict is happening since yesterday afternoon. Finally, Botsa has given a befitting reply today. Recently, a case had been booked on Kodela alleging illegal possession of furniture of the assembly. However, Kodela never accepted the allegations made on him. Chandrababu said that the party has tortured Kodela by criticizing him frequently in this issue, which made him feel humiliated and finally encouraged him to commit suicide.

There were also speculations doing rounds that Kodela’s son and daughter tortured him which made him undergo a lot of stress. Botsa paid his condolences to Kodela. AP CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy and Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan also expressed their grief over his death.
