Not much or out of rules had occurred: EC

In the midst of charges of few individuals entering a Lok Sabha election including focus with the PC in Jalandhar, the Election Commission has rejected the case, saying that ''not much or out of rules had occurred.''

Bahujan Samaj Party candidate from Jalandhar parliamentary constituency, Balwinder Kumar had claimed that few individuals were seen entering the inside, where Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) were put in strongrooms.

Mr. Kumar in his grumbling with Deputy Commissioner said that he was educated by his supporters, that suspicious development of individuals was seen in the Directorate of Land Records (DLR) office, where strongrooms have been set-up.

Punjab Chief Electoral Officer S. Karuna Raju said that after examination it was discovered that that ''individuals'', who had entered checking focus with workstations were individuals from tallying staff and had come to partake in the preparation.

For another situation in Jalandhar's Phagwara, where through a video it was being demonstrated that a man on casting a ballot day was moving close Senior Secondary School Bhanoke conveying EVMs, Mr. Raju, illuminated that nothing incorrectly or out of rules had occurred.

"It was discovered after examinations that the man was Mr. Balwinder Kumar, who had been delegated accountable for area 4 by Returning Officer, Hoshiarpur and he had nine polling stations under him," said Mr. Raju.
