One More Shock To Bollywood, Choreographer Saroj Khan Passes Away Aged 71

Noted Bollywood choreographer Saroj Khan died early this morning after she complained of having difficulty in breathing. She was 71.
Reportedly, She died due to a cardiac arrest in the ICU of Guru Nanak Hospital where she was admitted on June 20 after she complained of breathing issues. She also had severe diabetes and related illness. However, she had tested negative for coronavirus.
The three-time National Award winner, Saroj Khan, in her career spanning four decades choreographed more than 2000 Bollywood songs. Some of his noted works include Hawa Hawai from Mr India (1987), Ek Do Teen from Tezaab (1988), Dhak Dhak Karne Laga from Beta (1992) and Dola Re Dola from Devdas (2002). She last choreographed Madhuri Dixit in the song Tabaah Ho Gaye from Karan Johar’s production Kalank in 2019.
The news came from her daughter Sukyna Khan who informed that her mother has tested negative for Covid-19 and, said that the breathlessness was caused due to cold. However, she also told that her mother was supposed to discharge from the hospital in next two days. However, she had a cardiac arrest and breathed her last in the morning hours of 3 July.
The last rites of Saroj Khan will be performed at Malvani in Malad, Mumbai today.
