PM Modi Marks 25 Years in Public Service, Thanks Citizens for Trust

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday marked 25 years in public service, expressing gratitude to citizens for their continuous trust and affection. Reflecting on his journey since taking oath as Gujarat’s Chief Minister in 2001, Modi said he remained committed to building a “Viksit Bharat” through good governance and inclusive development.
He recalled leading Gujarat during testing times — amid earthquakes, droughts, and political instability — which strengthened his resolve to serve people selflessly. Modi shared his mother’s advice from that day: “Always work for the poor and never take a bribe.”
As Chief Minister, he transformed Gujarat into a model of industrial and agricultural progress, overcoming chronic droughts and infrastructural deficiencies. Transitioning to national leadership in 2014, Modi said the BJP was entrusted with restoring India’s global reputation after years of corruption and policy paralysis under the UPA.
Highlighting key achievements, he noted that over 25 crore people have been lifted out of poverty, and initiatives like Aatmanirbhar Bharat have strengthened India’s self-reliance across sectors. “Our Nari Shakti, Yuva Shakti, and Annadatas are at the heart of India’s transformation,” he said.
Modi emphasized that India is now seen as a “bright spot in the global economy” with world-class healthcare, infrastructure, and social security systems. Concluding his message, he said, “To serve our beloved nation is the highest honor. Guided by the values of our Constitution, I will continue to work tirelessly to realize our collective dream of a developed India.”
