PM Modi takes a jab on Digvijaya singh for not casting his vote

Preparing his firearms on senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh who didn't make his choice amid the 6th period of Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said the previous Madhya Pradesh chief minister submitted a "major sin" by not taking an interest in the "celebration of vote-based system".

“Diggy Raja you have committed a big sin…in the festival of democracy, the President, Vice President stood in queues to cast their votes, but Diggy Raja did not,” Modi said at a rally in the state's Ratlam region.

Singh, who was in Bhopal, couldn't venture out to Rajgarh to cast a ballot in the 6th period of the Lok Sabha polls on Sunday.

The Congress leader, who is hollowed against BJP leader and 2008 Malegaon impact charged Pragya Thakur, in any case, was seen visiting a few polling stations in Bhopal to persuade party laborers and guarantee that more individuals swing up to cast a ballot.

Declaring that Singh's choice not to cast a ballot showed his pomposity, PM Modi said the Congress leader neither thought about majority rules system nor the general population.

"His (Singh's) egotism became known yesterday in Bhopal. At the point when individuals are choosing their delegates and even I practiced my establishment in Ahmedabad, Diggy Raja neither thought about majority rule government nor individuals," Modi said.

Modi said even the Narmada yatra, a religious journey embraced by Singh a year ago, would not act the hero in the Lok Sabha elections.
