Pawan Kalyan Bats for Decade-Long Leadership of Chandrababu Naidu, Envisions $1 Trillion Economy for Andhra Pradesh
Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan on Wednesday expressed strong support for TDP chief and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, urging him to lead the state for another decade. Highlighting Naidu's vast experience and visionary leadership, Kalyan emphasized the CM's pivotal role in steering the state towards achieving a USD 1 trillion Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP).
Speaking at the state assembly, Kalyan asserted his "complete faith" in Naidu's governance, particularly after witnessing the administration's accomplishments in the first 150 days of the new NDA regime. “I am telling the Chief Minister, not just five years, you have to continue as the CM of this state for a decade. You have to maintain this momentum,” said Kalyan, while underscoring that the ambitious USD 1 trillion target—equivalent to ₹7.65 lakh crore—is within reach under Naidu's leadership.
In a sharp critique of the previous YSRCP government, Kalyan claimed that its mismanagement had left Andhra Pradesh in disarray. He stressed that Naidu's leadership is essential to help the state recover and "race" toward economic growth.
Calling on his fellow Cabinet members to align with the CM’s vision, Kalyan urged them to work diligently within their respective portfolios. He also appealed to Naidu to provide clear directives to ensure the government's collective efforts remain focused on achieving the state’s developmental goals.
Expressing gratitude for Naidu's address on the government’s progress over the past 150 days, Kalyan said the CM’s speech had filled him with renewed hope and confidence for Andhra Pradesh's future.
