Pawan Kalyan Launches New Ration Distribution Program in Andhra Pradesh

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Panchayati Raj Minister Pawan Kalyan has announced a significant update to the state's ration distribution system. In a move aimed at eliminating black market sales and ensuring accessibility for the underprivileged, Kalyan introduced a new time-bound ration supply initiative.
Starting immediately, ration items will be available from the 1st to the 15th of each month, twice daily—from 8 am to 12 pm and 4 pm to 8 pm—at designated ration shops. This system is intended to reduce overcrowding and guarantee timely access to essential goods for every eligible household.
Highlighting the inefficiencies and illegal practices under the previous administration, Kalyan said the revamped system would help control demand and prevent misappropriation of supplies. In a particularly citizen-friendly move, the government has also introduced doorstep delivery of ration supplies for senior citizens above 65 and persons with disabilities.
The program will be overseen by the State Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar, with Kalyan expressing confidence in its smooth and popular implementation. The initiative reflects the NDA government's focus on transparency, accessibility, and inclusive governance in public welfare.
