Pawan Kalyan visits Penugonda temple, West Godavari
Pawan Kalyan, President of Jana Sena Party visited the Penugonda temple in West Godavari district on Thursday.
He participated in the ceremony of 'Kumbhabhishekam' and idol installation of the Goddess Sri Vasavi Kanyaka Parameshwari. The idol is around 90 feet in height one of the largest in the world.
Goddess Sri Vasavi Kanyaka Parameshwari is the Kula devatha of the Arya Vysya Community. Vasavi Matha Sacrificed her life to avoid bloodshed and war. Her message to the world is Dharma, Integrity and Ahima.
Pawan Kalyan also performed the special pooja and said that "Goddess Kanyaka Parameswari is the pious individual who sacrificed her life when the morals eroded, thinking honour is more valuable than life. Not only as her birthplace but also as the holy place of her sacrifice, Penugonda enjoys a special place in the hearts of millions of people. Thanks to the trust board members for enabling the darshan of the goddess to all by installing this huge idol. I am praying to the goddess for the wellbeing of each and everyone."
Pawan Kalyan was welcomed by a huge number of people and Janasainiks who had reached Penugonda early morning with flowers showered on him all throughout the way from the helipad to temple.
