Petta Got Just Two Theatres
Producer Ashok Vallabhaneni who had acquired the Telugu rights of superstar Rajinikanth's 'Petta' film, has brazenly lashed at producers 'Dil' Raju, Allu Aravind and others for blocking the theatres.
At the trailer launch of his film, 'Dil' Raju gave a counter and it invited once more strong remark from Ashok. In an interview with a channel, Ashok said, a day can shortly arrive to beat these individuals in the industry with slippers. However, the controversy was getting heated and Ashok left the show mid-way.
Keeping this aside, 'Petta' is prepared for a release on Thursday i.e, on Jan 10th. The film is obtaining a decent number of screens on the first day in the Telugu states. But in a surprising move, 'Petta' will be off from the majority of the theatres and multiplexes on the second day to accommodate 'Vinaya Vidheya Rama' and 'F2.'
Yes, 'Petta' gets only 2 screens on day 2 in the entire Twin Cities and that too in a theatre that is less standard 'Saptagiri' at RTC crossroads and Raghavendra in Malkajgiri. Another shocking truth is no multiplex will screen 'Petta.'
Single screens and multiplexes are in double-digit in areas like Kukatpally and Dilsukhnagar. Unable to allot one theatre for 'Petta' could be a pathetic issue.
