Police Book Lulu Mall, Event Organisers After Nidhhi Agerwal Mobbed at The Raja Saab Song Launch
A police case has been registered against Lulu Mall management and the organisers of The Raja Saab promotional event after actor Nidhhi Agerwal was pushed and shoved by an uncontrollable crowd during a song launch in Hyderabad. The incident took place on Wednesday evening at Lulu Mall during the launch of the song “Sahana Sahana”, and visuals of the chaos soon went viral on social media, triggering public outrage and official action.
According to police officials, the organisers conducted the high-profile event without obtaining prior permission, despite inviting celebrities and anticipating a large turnout. A case was formally registered on Thursday at the KPHB police station against both the mall management and the organisers for violating safety norms. Speaking to PTI, a police official confirmed that holding such an event without approval posed serious security risks, especially with a celebrity presence.
The song launch was scheduled to begin at 5 pm, but like many Telugu film promotional events, it was delayed by several hours. By the time the programme commenced, a massive crowd had already gathered inside the mall, overwhelming security arrangements. As Nidhhi Agerwal appeared at the venue, fans surged forward in an attempt to take selfies and get close to her, leading to disorderly scenes.
Videos circulating online show the actor looking visibly distressed as she tries to shield herself while being mobbed. Members of her team and security personnel are seen struggling to control the crowd and escort her safely. Some individuals in the crowd could be seen attempting to touch the actor, further intensifying concerns over her safety. Eventually, Nidhhi was rushed to her car under tight security. She has not yet released an official statement regarding the incident.
Other members of The Raja Saab team, including Prabhas, Riddhi Kumar, director Maruthi, producer TG Vishwa Prasad, and music composer Thaman, were also present at the event. The episode has once again highlighted the urgent need for stricter crowd control and better planning at public film promotional events.
