Political Storm Brewing in Telangana: KTR Says Congress Will Be “Blown Away”
BRS working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) has launched a fierce attack on the ruling Congress government, declaring that a “political storm” is rising in Telangana that will soon “blow away” the Congress. Addressing a massive roadshow in Erragadda, Jubilee Hills, KTR accused the government of demolitions that left thousands homeless and of reversing the progress achieved under BRS rule.
Urging the four lakh voters of Jubilee Hills to shape the future of four crore Telanganites, he appealed to them to “reject the Congress and end its demolition spree.” He assured citizens that K. Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) would soon return to power to rebuild the State from what he described as the “ruins” caused by Congress misrule in just two years.
KTR alleged that the Revanth Reddy-led government was using strong-arm tactics, claiming that police officials and Congress leaders were threatening to demolish homes of BRS supporters to coerce them into switching sides. “This tendency will boomerang,” he warned, accusing the Congress of intimidating the poor while sparing influential figures with illegal constructions.
Highlighting BRS’s welfare record, KTR reminded the audience of schemes such as Shaadi Mubarak, Kalyana Lakshmi, KCR Kits, and Rs. 2,000 pensions for single women and widows. He contrasted this with Congress’s alleged failures, including plummeting real estate values and halted IT growth. “Under BRS, Apple, Google, and Amazon came to Telangana. In just two years, the Congress ruined everything,” he said.
Ridiculing Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s promise to make “one crore women crorepatis,” KTR asked, “Did he make anyone rich? He only made your land prices fall.” He concluded with a direct challenge: “Ask Revanth Reddy how many houses he built. KCR built one lakh double-bedroom homes. Has he built even one?”
Promising a BRS resurgence, KTR said the people’s anger against Congress would soon transform into a “typhoon” that reshapes Telangana’s political landscape.
