Politicians Who Have Been Badly Deceived By KCR

Telangana is enthralled with stories about the fun-loving chief of the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS), K Chandrashekhar Rao. Only rare politicians get as many brickbats as he gets. Once at a rally in Hyderabad, Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi said, “he is a back-stabber; he pretended to embrace me and slid a knife in my back.”

Sonia Gandhi was also no kinder, earlier while addressing a rally in Andhra Pradesh, she said, “TRS chief did not fulfill his promises, he cheated the Congress party. TRS doesn't want Telangana state progress but it wants just power”.

Sonia Gandhi went a step ahead and warned voters that KCR would coordinate with communal forces. She also added saying “We are not seeing the opportunistic face of TRS for the first time and it is suffering from the same disease as the BJP, it will align with the BJP if it sees power on the extent”. The crowd, apparently agreeing with her by cheering wildly.

So, now coming to the point, who is this man and why is he universally disliked by many politicians? KCR was in the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and an MLA. In 1999, he was close to getting a ministership but was piped to the post by fellow Vellama, who is a former CBI director Vijaya Rama Rao, contested the 1999 elections and won the MLA post.

KCR might not have taken up the cudgels on behalf of the state Telangana if he had become a minister. Anyhow, he left the TDP party to form his own party TRS in 2001, apparently to right the wrongs were done to Telangana all these years.

He set up the TRS in the winter of 2001. In the summer of 2001, AP state had local body elections. The TRS took off so strongly that the TDP party got only 10 of the 20 Zilla Parishads, in spite of a triangular fight. Realizing its potential, Congress quickly did a deal with the TRS party for 2004 Lok Sabha elections.

KCR and Congress CM YS Rajasekhara Reddy, hate each other. So, KCR started a movement for Telangana and withdrew from the United Progressive Alliance (UPA). But the party did really badly at the hosting’s after that, until the death of YS Rajasekhara Reddy and the announcement that the state was being divided.

KCR is not an easy man to get on with, at least six of his colleagues who had joined with him have threatened to walk out from the TRS because of his arrogance and egotism. At that period, four members of his family are contesting the elections His son, KTR, who was the MLA from Sircilla, nephew T Harish Rao, MLA from Siddipet, and a daughter who heads Telangana Jagruthi, a cultural organization.

In one of the media interactions, an IAS officer’s comment was succinct when asked what KCR was like to work with, he replied “Useless fellow”.

KCR cheated many politicians since he started the Telangana movement. Ala Narender got deceived by KCR, Gade Innaya was the first person to fight for separate Telangana after gaining the profits KCR betrayed him. Jitta Balakrishna Reddy was a pure leader who fought for the party and even sold his assets for the welfare of the state, after winning the post KCR refused to give him a party ticket and made him leave the party voluntarily. KK Mahender Reddy, who was a strong politician of Siricilla, to make KTR leader KCR abandoned Mahender.

Rehman, Chandrshekar, Ravinder Nayak, Cheruku Sudhakar, Kududula Nagesh, Vijayashanthi, Konda laxman Bapuji, Kodanda Ram Reddy, Tadikonda Rajayya, vivek, Ramulu Nayak, Shankaramma, Cheruku Muthyam Reddy, and many more great politicians got cheated by the fake politician KCR.

Recently, KCR suddenly sacked the post of Telangana Health Minister Eatala Rajender over allegations of land encroachment. However, Eatala Rajendar protested his innocence.
