Popular Director Passes Away

The movie director, former photojournalist and cinematographer of south industry KV Anand who is mainly known for working in Tamil movies has passed away today on 30th April due to massive stroke. KV Anand was 54 and took his last breath early morning at 3 am. He won the National Film Award for the Best Cinematography for his debut film Thenmavin Kombath as a cinematographer.
Later, he turned movie director with the film, Kana Kandaen in 2005 and his second movie Ayan was a blockbuster at the box office. KV Anand has started his career as a photojournalist, and later he used to assist famous cinematographer PC Sreeram in movies such as Gopura Vasalile, Devar Magan, Amaran, Meera, and Thiruda Thiruda.
Anand worked in many languages such as Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam languages. He has directed Rangam, Brothers, Anekudu, Veedokkade and Bandobast. The celebrities such as Music director Harris Jayaraj, Cinematographer-director Santosh Sivan, actor Gautham Karthik, Allu Arjun and many others from the film industry have been tweeting in condolence after the news was out, expressing shock over his sudden demise.
He was the founding member of Indian Society of Cinematographers. We are expressing their deepest condolences over the demise of KV Anand. May his soul rest in peace.
