Popular Host Husband Arrested In Cheating Case

Actor Laxmi Narasimha Reddy, who appeared in TV shows such as Karthika Deepam and Meenakshi, was arrested on Tuesday by Hyderabad police for allegedly cheating a woman of over Rs 85 lakh by promising to start a business venture with her on the outskirts of the city.

Speaking about the issue to the media, popular anchor and actress Shyamala, wife of Narasimha Reddy, said that, "I'm still not aware of the differences between them. We have known her for quite some time now, but I'm not informed enough to talk about the matter or about her. I'm right now trying on getting him a bail after which I will sit with him and then interact with media.’’

According to the police officials, Narasimha Reddy had an agreement with Sindhura Reddy in 2017, to invest Rs. 1 crore in 4-acre land, which he claimed to have at Gandipet. The complainant alleged that he failed to show any development in the accused land and further he also threatened her along with his aide Jayanthi and tried to extort Rs. 50000 from her when she demanded to return her money.
