Prabhu Deva Celebrates A R Rahman’s Birthday at Moonwalk Audio Launch
The grand audio launch of Moonwalk turned into a spectacular musical celebration as Oscar-winning composer A R Rahman marked his birthday with fans and the film’s team. Held in the presence of over 10,000 enthusiastic attendees, the event became a memorable night of music and dance.
Directed by Manoj N S, Moonwalk stars Prabhu Deva in the lead, and the unit chose the occasion to celebrate Rahman, who has sung all five songs in the film. Notably, Moonwalk also marks Rahman’s acting debut, adding to the excitement surrounding the project.
The evening reached its peak when Rahman took the stage and delivered electrifying live performances of all five tracks, sending fans into a frenzy. Prabhu Deva, fondly known as India’s Michael Jackson, followed it up with a 10-minute dance tribute, performing to the film’s songs alongside co-stars Yogi Babu, Aju Varghese, Arjun Asokan, Satz, and choreographer Sekhar.
The celebrations concluded on a high note as Prabhu Deva invited Rahman back on stage to dance to the iconic ‘Mukkala’ song, followed by a grand cake-cutting ceremony. Several prominent celebrities, including Raghava Lawrence, Kalaipuli S Thanu, Ishari K Ganesh, and Mysskin, were also in attendance. The full-length comedy is slated for a theatrical release in May.
