Prime Minister To Visit Houston Again!

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to visit Houston on 22^nd September, again. This is his first visit as a prime minister, but he had visited Houston many years ago as the general secretary of BJP, to inaugurate Swaminarayan Temple.

During his trip to the US, he will also attend the UN General Assembly meet and various events on business and environment. In Houston, he will address a crowd of over 50,000 Indians at NRG stadium. The event is hosted by Texas India Forum and is titled in Texas friendly spirit as ‘Howdy Modi!’. The event will have a cultural program and an address by Modi.

Preparations for the event have been started weeks back and the Indian community is registering themselves to acquire a pass to attend the event. The enthusiasm of the organizers is worth watching. This event is going to see the largest attendance, in events of such kind. Earlier, a gathering at New York’s Madison Square in 2014, saw 19,000 people.

Texas is one of the biggest states of the US and has over 250,000 Indians residing in the state. Narendra Modi is extremely popular among the Indians in the states and they all are excited about the event. The event will see posters and banners of Modi. People in traditional attire will be seen attending the event. Bollywood songs will be played in full voice and chants of ‘Modi! Modi!’ will be echoed in the atmosphere.
