Princess Esra presents gold jewels to Yadadri Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy.
Princess Begum Sahiba Esra Birgen, married to the late titular Nizam Mukarram Jah, gave Lord Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy 67 grams of gold jewelry worth Rs.5 lakh for the annual brahmotsavam.
On Sunday, at the temple, Yadadri Temple Development Authority vice chairman G Kishan Rao gave the gold jewelry to temple Executive Officer N Geetha on behalf of Princess Esra. Princess Esra lives in London but also travels back and forth between Hyderabad and her home country of Turkey. Kishan Rao said that Princess Esra seemed interested in visiting the temple when he told her about the renovation project a few years ago. After the temple reopened early last year and pictures and videos of it were widely shared in the media, she told him she wanted to donate to the temple.
So, she recently bought a gold chain in Hyderabad, and Kishan Rao gave it to the temple officials on her behalf.
Princess Esra was supposed to go to the temple in the city recently, but she couldn't because Mukarram Jah died last month. Yadadri Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy shows up in Govardhana Giridhari's clothes.
On the fifth day of the annual brahmotsavam, which was on Sunday, Yadadri Sri Lakshminarsihma Swamy showed up to devotees dressed as "Govardhana Giridhari."
The temple priests chanted "Veda mantras" as they did "Govardhana Giridhari Alankara Seva" for the ceremonial idol of Lord Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy. On the hill shrine, the procession of Lord Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy went along the path called "Mada veedhulu."
