Priyamani’s First Look From Virataparvam

Rana Daggubati and Sai Pallavi starrer Virataparvam will also see actress Priyamani in a key role. She is playing the role of a Naxal ‘Bharathi’ who is called as Bharathakka in the film. The first look of Priyamani has been released today by the makers on the occasion of her birthday. She was seen wearing a Naxal dress holding a gun in her hand. However, she is looking bright with a smiling face, in contrast to the serious face that Naxals usually have!

Priyamani was lastly seen in the Telugu film ‘Mana Oori Ramayanam’ in which Prakash Raj played the lead. However, the film has remained as a flop. Now, she is going to be seen in Virataparvam and Venkatesh’s ‘Narappa’ which is the remake of a super hit film ‘Asuran’. Also, she is going to appear in the film ‘Sirivennela’.

Speaking about Virataparvam, the film revolves around the situation of Andhra Pradesh in the 1990s. Priyamani and Nanditha Das will be seen as Naxals while Sai Pallavi will be seen as a country singer who later joins Naxals. Naveen Chandra, Zarina Wahab, Eswari Rao, and Sai Chand will be seen in crucial roles. Rana is playing a cop.

The film is directed by Venu Udugula and produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri. Dani Sanchez Lopez and Divakar Mani are cinematographers. The shoot of the film has been halted after the government announced lockdown and it will be soon resumed as the Telangana government already gave permission for the shooting of films.
