Producer Files Case Against Kamal Haasan

Veteran actor Kamal Haasan has been accused of not repaying Rs 10 crores to the producer KE Gnanavel Raja. He has filed a complaint against the actor with the Tamil Nadu Film Producers' Council (TFPC) over the same issue. Kamal Haasan had borrowed Rs 10 crores from Gnanavel Raja during the release of Uttama Villain but didn’t return the money till now.
Kamal had promised Gnanavel to repay the whole amount and also committed to doing a film under KE Gnanavel Raja's banner. But he did neither of it. As Kamal is not showing interesting in working under Gnanavel’s banner and not paying the money, he had filed a complaint with TFPC.
Uttam Villain had released in 2015 after a lot of problems. The film has become super hit back then. The comedy-drama is directed by Ramesh Aravind and written by Kamal Haasan. The film has collected Rs 70 crores at the box office. It is unknown why Kamal is not repaying the borrowed amount when his films are collecting well.
On the other side, Kamal is acting in Indian 2 which is being directed by S Shankar and produced by Subaskaran Allirajah under Lyca Productions. He is also going to be seen in another Tamil film Thalaivan Irukkiran which is under pre-production stage.
Kamal Haasan is also hosting Tamil Bigg Boss 3, for which he is getting a huge remuneration of Rs 100 crores for the entire season! Isn’t it feels silly, if one says Kamal is unable to repay the amount to the producer, after hearing this!
