Puri’s Comments On Distributors Of Liger’s

We are aware of the news that Puri Jagannadh’s recent project, ‘Liger’ ended as a big dud and left the makers and distributors in losses.
Amid this backdrop, a bunch of distributors have decided to protest before the office of the director, seeking him to settle their losses.
Puri, who already promised to compensate for the losses, has now gotten irritated with the attitude of a few distributors and lashed out at the distributors for allegedly blackmailing him.
He said that he didn’t have to return money to anyone, but he is still doing it for the sake of honoring those who suffered the losses and he further said that he won’t pay back those who were planning to stage protests against him.
“I am not bound to return the monies. Yet, I am doing it on humanitarian grounds. If you people do over-acting even after my promise, I will lose the will to return the money,” Puri said.
He further said that movie is like gambling and is like a game of cards. “Some hit the bull’s eye. Others flop. When a film becomes a hit, it becomes a headache to recover dues from buyers. It happened to me with ‘Pokiri’ and ‘iSmart Shankar’, among other hits. The buyers’ association didn’t help me out,” he stated.
