RRR Rejects Huge OTT Offer

RRR is one of the much awaited movies of the Tollywood industry and film lovers are eagerly waiting for the release of the film. Though it was supposed to hit the screens on 7th January the release was postponed and the makers of the film disappointed fans all over the world.
Now the reports suggest that the makers of RRR rejected a mind-blowing deal from an OTT giant for a direct digital release. The deal was huge and over 500 Cr but the director and the makers have rejected the offer as they want to release the film only in the theaters.
A few months ago, during a media interaction, the Hindi language version distributor of RRR, Jayanti Lal Gada, had also said, “RRR will be released on OTT platform only after 90 days at least from the theatrical release.”
We have already reported that ZEE5 and Netflix own the post-theatrical digital streaming rights of the film RRR. The Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, and Kannada versions of the movie will stream on ZEE5, and the Hindi, English, Portuguese, Turkish, Korean, and Spanish versions will stream on Netflix.
Rajamouli’s directional venture RRR is a period movie that narrates a fictional story about two freedom fighters Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem.
