Radhika Apte says that she lost a film because she was 3-4 kilogrammes overweight.

When it comes to addressing the brutal reality about the film industry, Radhika Apte does not mince words. She has frequently spoken about having a difficult time during her early days in the industry, as well as some prejudice concerning her body shape. Radhika stated in a new interview that she previously lost a film because she was 3 or 4 kg overweight.
Radhika recently revealed that she wanted for a nose job and larger breasts. When questioned if she still receives such comments in the industry, Radhika stated that this may not be the case today.
She did, however, added that she initially lost a film since she was 3-4 kgs larger. She also stated that people made such comments about her physique because they believed they had the right to do so.
She went on to say that individuals can now talk about such topics due of increased awareness. She stated that if this occurs, they may at least call them out and ensure that such individuals are removed from the initiatives. She went on to say that before there was no support system or awareness, and they used to make fun of their bodies.
In the spy comedy Mrs Undercover, Radhika plays Durga, a housewife who doubles as an undercover operative. She previously stated that female-oriented issues are popular.
