Rajamahendravaram BJP MLA Akula Satyanarayana Will Join the JanaSena Party
BJP MLA and Rajamahendravaram Urban Assembly segment Akula Satyanarayana will join the JanaSena on January 21 in the presence of party chief Pawan Kalyan at the party office in Vijayawada.
He is upset with the attitude of the BJP on the progress of three major issues including sanction of a railway zone at Visakhapatnam, a steel plant at Kadapa and also the Dugarajapatnam Port at Nellore, all incorporated in the AP Reorganisation Act, 2014 despite repeated reminders from the state party leaders and assurances given by the Centre.
He said, “I am joining JanaSena Party unconditionally and that I would like to work for people in the state representing the party. I’m able to accept any work entrusted by the party leadership to me and assure to try and do it with all commitment.”
The BJP MLA is eyeing the Rajahmundry Parliamentary segment to contest in the ensuing polls representing the JanaSena. At present, the YSR Congress has declared the name of Margani Bharat as party co-ordinator of the Rajahmundry Lok Sabha segment giving a sign that he would be the party’s candidate. The TDP is yet to officially finalize its candidate and at present, it's being represented by veteran film actor M. Murali Mohan.
In case Akula Satyanarayana is appointed from the Rajahmundry Lok Sabha segment representing the JanaSena, it becomes a triangular contest.
On the opposite hand, Akula’s wife Padmavathi is already associated with the JanaSena and it's to be seen whether or not she also will be given an opportunity to contest in the ensuing polls.
He will meet Pawan Kalyan and will formally be a part of the JanaSena Party at any time. Earlier, it had been felt that he would be a part of the TDP. But, there was no response from the TDP leadership. Hence, Akula Satyanarayana reportedly set to join the JanaSena Party. The BJP can suffer a big blow in Godavari districts if the sitting MLA leaves the party.
