Rajamouli First Choice Was Lata Mangeshkar

Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar died in Mumbai yesterday on 6th February. Her death brought down the curtain on an era in the Indian film industry.
She was called the Nightingale of India and had lent her voice to many songs in 36 languages in a career spanning almost eight decades. Lata Mangeshkar was offered a song Kanha Soja Zara for Anushka Shetty and Prabhas starred in Baahubali, which was directed by SS Rajamouli.
She was the first choice for many music directors and composers and the same was the case for SS Rajamouli. When the movie was being dubbed in Hindi, Rajamouli and Keeravani wanted Lata Mangeshkar to croon the song Kanha Soja Zara which was shot by the actress. But due to her old age, Lata ji had to refuse the offer.
Lata Mangeshkar was laid to rest on Sunday evening with state honors at Mumbai’s Shivaji Park. India’s PM Narendra Modi also visited to pay his last respects to Nightingale of India. On the otherside, Rajamouli is currently busy in the promotional process of his upcoming movie RRR.
