Rajamouli responds to Anand Mahindra's request to film the Indus Valley civilization.

Director SS Rajamouli responded to Anand Mahindra, chairman of the Mahindra Group, who asked him to adapt one of his books on the Indus Valley Civilization for the big screen.
Harappa, Mohenjo Daro, Dholavira, Lothal, Kalibangan, Banawali, Rakhigarhi, Surkotada, Chanhu Daro, and Rupar were just some of the ancient cities that Anand re-shared on Twitter when he wrote about this civilization.
Twitter user Anand Mahindra remarked, "These are amazing illustrations that bring history alive and spark our imagination." A shout out to @ssrajamouli, who should think about making a movie about that period to spread knowledge of that civilization worldwide.
To which Rajamouli responded, "Yes sir... In Dholavira, where we shot Magadheera, I came across a tree so old that it had become a fossil. Imagine if that tree were the narrator of a film about the decline of the Indus Valley civilization. A few years later, I travelled there. Struggled mightily to make it to Mohenjo-Daro. Unfortunately, I was denied access.
The 2009 fantasy action film Magadheera was made in the Telugu language. The film's actors are Ram Charan, Srihari, Kajal Aggarwal, and Dev Gill. It centres on the concepts of rebirth and unending love.
