Rajinikanth Gets Icon of Golden Jubilee IFFI 2019!

Superstar Rajinikanth is going to be conferred with 'Icon of Golden Jubilee #IFFI 2019' award at 50th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa. The news has excited Superstar fans all over India for their favorite star getting the prestigious award. Netizens praised Thalaiva saying that he deserves it for his style, attitude and acting skills. Congratulatory messages were poured in on Twitter from his fans and other South celebs.

Rajinikanth thanked Indian government for the honor. “I thank the government of India for this prestigious honour bestowed upon me on the golden jubilee of the International film festival of India 🙏🏻#IFFI2019,” Rajini tweeted. Rajini also thanked politicians, fans and well-wishers with all joy and happiness. “Many thanks to all my well-wishers, friends, and colleagues from the film industry, political leaders and my dearest fans ... for the warm wishes & greetings for the honour conferred upon me by the government of India,” he wrote.

On the film front, Rajinikanth is currently busy shooting his next film ‘Darbar’ which is being directed by AR Murugadoss. Rajini fans are excited as the duo are collaborating for the first time. Nayanthara, Nivetha Thomas, Yogi Babu, Prateik Babbar, Dalip Tahil and others are going to be seen in the film. Allirajah Subaskaran is bankrolling the movie under Lyca Productions. Young music director Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music.
