Ram Charan and APL Leaders Meet PM Modi to Promote Archery on Global Stage

Global star Ram Charan, along with Anil Kamineni, Chairman of the Archery Premier League (APL), and Virender Sachdeva, President of the Archery Association of India, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi to celebrate the successful completion of APL’s first season.
During the meeting, the delegation presented the Prime Minister with a symbolic bow, signifying India’s ancient archery heritage and the league’s mission to revive and modernize the sport. The gesture also reflected the rapid growth and vision of APL in shining a global spotlight on Indian archery.
Founded under the leadership of Anil Kamineni, the Archery Premier League aims to promote archery by providing world-class training, competitive platforms, and international exposure to Indian athletes. The league seeks to build a strong sports ecosystem that motivates and supports young archers to excel at both national and international levels.
After the meeting, Ram Charan expressed his pride, saying it was an honour to share APL’s vision with the Prime Minister. He emphasized that archery is a proud part of India’s heritage and that APL will help Indian talent reach new heights on the global stage.
Upasana Konidela also joined the meeting and presented PM Modi with a Balaji idol and traditional puja kit on behalf of Mr. and Mrs. Chiranjeevi, symbolizing respect and cultural tradition.
The meeting highlighted APL’s growing importance in Indian sports and its dedication to promoting traditional games with a modern approach, setting the stage for archery’s bright future in India.
