Ram Charan and Upasana Konidela Return Home with Newborn Twins Amid Tight Security
Actor Ram Charan and entrepreneur Upasana Konidela were discharged from the hospital on Thursday along with their newborn twins, a baby boy and a baby girl, under heavy security arrangements following earlier crowding incidents. The couple welcomed the twins on Saturday, January 31, marking a joyful milestone for the family.
The discharge was carried out with heightened precautions after large crowds of fans gathered outside the hospital earlier in the week, leading to safety concerns. Barricades were installed, and additional security personnel were deployed to prevent overcrowding and ensure an uninterrupted exit. A paparazzi video showed coordinated efforts by hospital staff and security teams as the family left in a vehicle with tinted windows, avoiding public exposure.
The security measures followed an incident in which Ram Charan and the couple’s elder daughter, Klin Kaara Konidela, were mobbed during a visit to the hospital. Fans had also gathered in large numbers after news of the twins’ birth became public, with some bursting crackers and creating noise, drawing criticism for disturbing other patients.
This marked a contrast to 2023, when Upasana and Klin Kaara were discharged without such restrictions. At the time, the family had greeted fans and posed for photographs outside the hospital.
Earlier, Ram Charan and Upasana shared a pre-delivery photograph on Instagram, announcing the birth of their twins and expressing gratitude to fans, family, and well-wishers. The post highlighted the importance of women in their lives and the joy of expanding their family.
Married since June 2012, the couple welcomed their first child, Klin Kaara, in June 2023. Speculation about Upasana’s second pregnancy began around Diwali 2025 before it was officially confirmed.
On the professional front, Ram Charan was last seen in Game Changer, directed by S. Shankar, and will next appear in Peddi, scheduled for release on April 30.
