Ram Gopal Varma's Movie: The Current Flashpoint Between Naidu And Jagan as Elections Near

The controversy surrounding Ram Gopal Varma's next film Vyooham reached an all-time high point when, in a TV debate, activist Kolikapudi Sreenivasa Rao promised a Rs 1 crore bounty for the filmmaker's head.
For the past few weeks, the two parties have been in conflict over the movie, which apparently presents Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in a positive light and "demonizes" his primary political rival, N Chandrababu Naidu.
The TDP politician Nara Lokesh, who is the son of Chandrababu Naidu, went to the high court four days ago and asked that the censor certificate for the film be revoked. The censor board has been ordered by the high court to submit its position by December 28 in response to the petition that TDP leader Nara Lokesh filed.
The TDP attorney has asked the high court to postpone the film's December 29 release, which is scheduled to take place. He contended that the film portrays Chandrababu Naidu in an unfavorable light and that a person's right to live in dignity should not be compromised by freedom of expression.
