Ranveer’s Dhurandhar Set to Clash With Prabhas’ The Raja Saab on December 5

Bollywood is bracing for a major box office showdown as two mega releases are slated to hit theatres on the same day—Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar and Prabhas’ The Raja Saab, both scheduled for December 5, 2025. The clash promises to light up the screens with diverse genres, big stars, and intense fan anticipation.
On Ranveer Singh’s birthday, July 6, fans will get the first look at Dhurandhar, a spy thriller directed by Aditya Dhar. According to sources, a meeting between the producers, director, and Ranveer finalized December 5 as the perfect release date. The teaser will confirm this date, aiming to build hype ahead of its theatrical launch.
What makes this clash even more intriguing is that both films star Sanjay Dutt in crucial roles. Dhurandhar is inspired by real-life espionage missions, believed to revolve around India’s NSA Ajit Doval’s early operations and a covert assassination of terrorist aide Abu Qatal. The film stars R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Akshaye Khanna alongside Ranveer.
On the other hand, The Raja Saab is a high-budget horror comedy featuring Prabhas, reportedly being released in multiple languages. Its genre and mass appeal make it a strong competitor during the holiday season.
Adding to the crowded slate, Vishal Bhardwaj’s untitled film, starring Shahid Kapoor, Triptii Dimri, Nana Patekar, and Randeep Hooda, is also eyeing the December 5 release. Backed by Sajid Nadiadwala, this film adds a third heavyweight to the release calendar.
As Bollywood gears up for a three-way showdown in December, trade analysts predict a fierce competition at the box office. With star power, unique themes, and massive fan followings behind each title, December 5 is shaping up to be one of the most eventful Fridays in recent memory.
