As we all know that many celebrities like Samantha, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Nani, Vijay Deverakonda came forward and signed an online petition on save "Nallamalla", and joined the campaign.
Upon this Rashmi questions "We have seen the Amazon fires recently, we know how important is to save the Aarey forest for Mumbai. The entire planet is on high alert. In circumstances like these, I really don’t understand how the government can be this amateurish and irresponsible in taking up a project like this in Nallamala?”
She also added, “When we are in a position where we can’t even pluck a twig to conserve groundwater, how can a massive deforestation program like this can be permitted? What about the tribes who are dependent on the forest then? Didn’t we live better lives before?”
She asked many questions like “These days everybody is so busy giving online bullsh***. How far can these online trends and viral campaigns completely stop these atrocities? How and when do these stop?”
She told that she wanted to create awareness and said, "Yes, I’m extremely disappointed with the way we are messing up with nature. But right now my calling is animal welfare. But that doesn’t stop me from working towards bringing the change that I want to see around. I repeat my clothes often because right now polyester fabric has become as hazardous as plastic. I also recommend reusable water cans on my sets. I also encourage people to get their own water bottles. And of late, I’m even asking food delivery apps not to provide the plastic reusable spoons. There are certain things we can do in day-to-day lives.”
She also said, “I only hope the government doesn’t come up with fake promises and stops messing up with nature anymore.”
