Remedy for Your Boredom is AR Rahman’s Album ’99 Songs’

On too much request from his fans, singer AR Rahman had released his album consisting of 99 songs on 20^th of March.

The romantic movie is directed by debutant director VishweshKrishnamoorthy and will release in three languages — including Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. ’99 Songs’ will also introduce debutant Ehan Bhat.

In these days of lockdown, when people are staying safe inside their homes, it has came to be the best remedy for their boredom. Presented by Jio Studios, the film is produced by Rahman’s production company YM Movies and co-produced by Ideal Entertainment.

The film stars debutants Ehan Bhat and Edilsy Vargas in lead roles, alongside Aditya Seal, Lisa Ray and Manisha Koirala. It is a story about art and self-discovery of a struggling singer who wants to be a successful music composer. The album has been now on different music streaming platforms like Ganna, Tidal etc.

Talking about the album, Rahman said: “I think this film is coming at the right time.” He added, “With so many remixes being the norm these days, I’m looking forward to seeing audiences’ reception to the original compositions. ’99 Songs’ has 15 original tracks in the album; I am eager to see how well they receive it.”
