Revolution In TS Agriculture Should Extend Across India:KCR

The spirit and commitment with which revolutionary progress was achieved in Telangana’s agricultural sector should be extended across the nation, CM KCR said.
Extending Sankranti,Bhogi, and Kanuma greetings to the people the CM said Sankranti was celebrated by farmers on the occasion of getting home harvested yields and to thank the mother earth.
The measures taken up by the Telangana govt to support the agricultural sector had converted barren lands into lush green fields. According to him, granaries were brimming with stocks, livestock and cattle populations had increased greatly, and a festive atmosphere pervaded the State on Sankranti.
Telangana was the only State in the India with top priority for welfare of the farming community and spending crores for development of the agricultural sector, the CM said.
Due to the successful implementation of various programmes in the agricultural sector, the acreage that was 1.31 crore acres during the formation of the Telangana, had now increased to 2.40 crore acres, he said.
“All the people should celebrate Makara Sankranti with gaiety and all the households should be blessed with prosperity,” Chandrashekhar Rao added.
