Rs 5 Lakh Compensation for Victims of Vijayawada Bus Accident

MD Dwaraka Tirumala Rao has announced that a compensation of Rs 5 lakh will be provided to the families of the victims who tragically lost their lives in an accident involving an RTC Metro luxury bus at the Vijayawada Pandit Nehru bus station. He also mentioned that a comprehensive report on the bus accident will be prepared within the next 24 hours.
RTC MD Dwaraka Tirumala Rao stated that a compensation of five lakh rupees will be extended to the families of those who perished in the accident that occurred at the Vijayawada bus stand associated with the Autonagar depot. According to his account, the bus was departing from Vijayawada with 24 passengers on board when it veered onto the platform. Tragically, an outsourcing conductor-cum-booking clerk named Veeraya, standing in front of the bus along with a passenger named Kumari, lost their lives on the spot. Additionally, a one-and-a-half-year-old girl who was injured in the incident later succumbed to her injuries in the hospital.
The investigation will aim to determine whether the accident resulted from mechanical failure or human error. It will scrutinize whether a brake malfunctioned or if there was a driver error. The examination will also ascertain the gear the bus was in at the time of the accident.
In addition to the compensation, the one-and-a-half-year-old child, Ayansh, also lost his life in the accident, and two other passengers sustained injuries. Those responsible for the accident will face appropriate action, and RTC will provide five lakh rupees in compensation to the families of the three victims who lost their lives in this tragic incident. Furthermore, Suresh Babu, the injured booking clerk, will receive treatment covered by RTC.
