Saif Ali Khan Shares Father Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi’s Hilarious Marriage Advice

Saif Ali Khan recently appeared alongside Akshay Kumar on the celebrity talk show Two Much, hosted by Twinkle Khanna and Kajol. The episode was filled with humour, candid revelations, and heartfelt reflections on marriage and relationships. During the conversation, Saif spoke about his bond with his wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and how, like every couple, they too experience disagreements. However, he added that he has learned how to handle such situations calmly over the years.
Saif then shared a piece of hilarious yet wise marriage advice he once received from his father, the legendary cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi. When Saif asked his father how he dealt with marital fights, Pataudi casually replied that during arguments, he would simply think about playing cricket and stay quiet. “He told me, ‘I just think about playing cricket during the argument and don’t say anything. Just listen. It looks like you’re listening,’” Saif said, leaving everyone in splits. The advice, though funny, highlighted the importance of patience and silence during conflicts.
Akshay Kumar instantly agreed and added his own perspective on marriage. He described his wife, Twinkle, as “fire” and himself as “water,” saying he prefers remaining calm and simply listening. Akshay stressed that every husband should be a good listener, as understanding a partner’s feelings is key to a strong marriage.
Saif also reflected on his personal life, sharing his journey with Kareena. The couple began dating in 2007 during the shooting of Tashan and tied the knot in 2012. Saif was previously married to Amrita Singh, with whom he shares two children, Sara and Ibrahim. With Kareena, he has two sons, Taimur and Jehangir.
