Samantha To Essay The Tutorial Role In Gunasekhar’s Shaakunthalam

It was earlier reported that Gunaa Team Works has announced a project titled Shaakuntalam which will be helmed by Rudhramadevi fame Gunasekhar and he wants a top actress for the movie. Earlier there was a strong buzz in media and the film circles that Pooja Hegde would essay the titular role in this movie but Neelima Guna denied the reports about DJ girl coming aboard for the film.

Now as per the latest buzz in the film circles, Akkineni Daughter in law Samantha might be interested in doing the role of Shakuntala with Bollywood Badshah Amitabh Bachchan as Kanva Maharshi and a Tamil star in the role of Vishwamithra. Urvashi’s role will be played by a top actress. Though this news that name of Samantha Akkineni is doing rounds, it is yet to be confirmed.

As per the sources, the big announcement about Shaakuntalam will be done in the first week of January month and the upcoming film will be going on the floor from next year and will hit the screens during the end of 2021. Currently, the director is busy in the pre-production process of Shaakunthalam.

On the professional front, Samantha is currently hosting the popular talk show named Sam Jam. The actress has also collaborated with a lady director Nandini Reddy for a movie again.
