Saudi Crown Prince Arrives India, Received by Modi
Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman arrived on a day visit to New Delhi on Tuesday evening and Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the airport welcomed him with a warm hug.
The visit will be closely observed to know if talks will happen about Terrorism and trade. While India is trying to isolate Pakistan diplomatically as the punishment to Pulwama attack, the Saudi Prince had praised Islamabad's "efforts for regional peace and security" and announced investments worth 20 billion dollars.
Crown Prince is expected to hold bilateral talks with Modi as Saudi Arabia has promised to reduce tensions between Pakistan and India during the high-profile summit in Islamabad.
The Crown Prince and the Deputy Prime Minister also said that only dialogue can ensure peace and stability in the region.
Saudi also asked not to politicize the issue, in reference to India asking to list Jaish chief Masood Azhar as a global terrorist under UN rules. They said that Jaish has taken responsibility for Pulwama attack.
In his three-nation tour of South Asia, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is expected to visit China after this tour.
