Shaakuntalam Team Wishes Samantha With A New Poster

South Indian actress Samantha Akkineni is a multitalented personality. She is not just an actor but an influencer and the fashionista as well. The actress is making her debut in Bollywood cinema with the second season of The Family Man. Samantha started her career in 2010 with the film Ye Maaya Chesave, directed by Gautham Menon and she instantly made a place in the heart of the movie lovers and fans as Jessie. Later, Eega brought her under limelight.

In her filmy career the actress has delivered many blockbuster films and currently the actress is working with Gunasekhar for an upcoming woman-centric project titled Shaakuntalam, in which Samantha is essaying the titular role. Today on the eve of her birthday, the makers of the film, Shaakuntalam shared a poster and also revealed her role name which is Kavya Nayaki.

Malayalam actor Dev Mohan is making his debut in with this upcoming drama in which he plays the role of Dushyant. Speaking about being a part of the film, earlier during an interview Samantha had said it is a gift to her as she has always wanted to essay either a princess or a lead in a period drama. Shaakuntalam is a pan-Indian project which is also bankrolled by Gunasekhar’s daughter Neelima Guna.
