Shots Fired: CM Revanth vs KTR
In a heated exchange reflecting the current political climate in Telangana, Revanth Reddy and KTR have publicly clashed. Revanth Reddy criticized KTR for opposing the installation of a statue of Rajiv Gandhi in front of the Secretariat, questioning why KTR would reject honoring the leader who played a significant role in the formation of Telangana. Revanth alleged that KTR’s real intention was to have a statue of his father, KCR, in that location, questioning when KCR would be memorialized.
Revanth’s comments elicited a strong response from KTR, who retaliated with sharp criticism. KTR dismissed Revanth as a “Cheap Minister” and vowed to address the “trash” surrounding Dr. B. R. Ambedkar’s Secretariat upon returning to office. He accused Revanth of lacking self-respect and criticized his use of language in a public forum. KTR’s response was pointed, calling out what he described as Revanth’s “lousy thinking” and “uncouth upbringing,” escalating the ongoing political dispute.
