Popular Telugu folk singer Mangli has responded to reports following a police raid on her birthday party held at a Chevella resort. The singer, whose real name is Satyavathi Rathod, released a video stating she was unaware of the requirement to obtain prior permission for holding a liquor party with a DJ system.
Mangli clarified that the event was organized by her family and was a private gathering as per her parents’ wishes. She expressed surprise at the media reports suggesting drug usage, firmly denying that any banned substances were found at the party. However, Mangli stated that the only intoxicants present were alcoholic beverages and emphasized that drugs were not found during police searches. One person allegedly tested positive for ganja, but Mangli noted that police acknowledged it might have been consumed before arriving.
