Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya’s Wedding: A Celebration of Legacy and Tradition

Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya are set to exchange vows on December 4, 2024, at the iconic Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad, a property steeped in family legacy. Founded in 1976 by Naga Chaitanya’s grandfather, the legendary actor-producer Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Annapurna Studios spans 22 acres in Banjara Hills and is a cornerstone of the Telugu film industry. The venue, known for producing over 60 films, provides a fitting backdrop for this star-studded occasion.
As part of the pre-wedding festivities, Sobhita honored her heritage by wearing heirloom jewelry from her mother and grandmother during the Raata ceremony, a significant Telugu tradition. This ritual involves the planting of a bamboo pole adorned with sacred elements like mango leaves, nine gems, and grains, symbolizing blessings for the bride’s new journey.
The Mangalasnaanam ceremony followed, during which turmeric paste was applied to the bride, signifying purification. A source revealed that the wedding will feature over eight hours of traditional Telugu Brahmin rituals. Sobhita has chosen an exquisite Kanjivaram silk saree with real gold zari for her big day, underscoring the event's cultural richness.
