Social Media Was Flooded with Wishes As Kapil Dev Turns 62

Former Indian captain Kapil Dev has turned 62 today, January 6. He is widely regarded as one of the best Indian captains of all time. The Indian national side marched to World Cup glory in 1983 under his leadership. On the special occasion of Kapil Dev's birthday, many celebrities and fans wished him.
Social media was flooded with birthday wishes for the legendary all-rounder. BCCI took to Twitter to share some of his career highlights. Indian cricketers, as well as fans from across the world, wished Kapil Dev on his Twitter page. Sachin Tendulkar posted an image with Kapil Dev to wish him a happy birthday. India captain across all formats, Virat Kohli, wished for a wonderful and healthy year Kapil Dev.
Aakash Chopra wished for the 1983 World Cup-winning Indian skipper and prayed for his good health. "Wishing @therealkapildev a very happy birthday Pray for good health and happiness," he wrote on Twitter.
Kapil Dev started his career in October 1978 against Pakistan and he played 131 Test matches for India, scoring 5,248 runs. In One-Day Internationals, he represented the country in 225 games. Kapil Dev scored just one century in the limited-overs format, the famous knock of 175 that came against Zimbabwe in the 1983 World Cup.
