Soon, 10 additional Vande Bharat Express trains will be inaugurated.
The Indian Railways is set to introduce 10 new Vande Bharat Express trains in response to the growing popularity of these high-speed trains among travelers. The South Central Railway (SCR) is actively working on launching a Vande Bharat service between Secunderabad and Pune as part of its expansion efforts.
Currently, the SCR, operating under its jurisdiction in the two Telugu States, already runs four Vande Bharat trains. However, with the increasing demand for high-speed trains equipped with indigenous technology, the SCR has decided to further extend its services.
Officials anticipate that the availability of Vande Bharat trains will cater to the needs of a diverse range of passengers. The Railway Ministry, recognizing the unique features of these trains that set them apart from others, aims to address the high demand by introducing 10 new Vande Bharat Express trains.
With a total of 33 Vande Bharat trains already in operation across various cities and states, these trains have achieved a high occupancy ratio. The upcoming expansion includes plans for a Vande Bharat Express on the Secunderabad–Pune route, known for being one of the busiest routes.
In addition to the Secunderabad-Pune route, the new Vande Bharat Express trains are slated for introduction on the Varanasi-Lucknow, Patna-Jalpaiguri, Madgaon-Mangalore, Delhi-Amritsar, Indore-Surat, Mumbai-Kolhapur, Mumbai-Jalna, Pune-Vadodara, and Tatanagar-Varanasi sections. This strategic expansion aims to meet the increasing demand and provide passengers with enhanced travel options.
