State's Progress Is Just On Papers: Uttam Kumar Reddy

AICC secretary Salim Ahmed and Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy said that people of the state were getting ready to teach a lesson to both the TRS and the Bharatiya Janata Party in the upcoming municipal elections. On Sunday, both the leaders joined the party municipal elections preparatory meeting, held in Suryapet.
Addressing the gathering, Uttam Kumar Reddy said that he does not have any election distress, and told the TRS leaders to stop making baseless comments against the Congress party.
"State witnessed considerable progress under Congress rule," he said, adding that state progress was just on papers and in speeches of CM K Chandrashekar Rao.
He informed that he has approached the court to extend the time for elections. He is confident that the court verdict would be in his favor.
All India Congress Committee secretary Salim Ahmed said, "People of the state are very furious with the TRS government, as it has failed to fulfill the promises it made." He called upon local leaders and party workers to work hard.
Former Minister R Damodar Reddy, TPCC secretary Patel Ramesh Reddy, DCC president Cheviti Venkanna, party local leaders and workers in large numbers attended the meeting.
