Suriya Donates Whopping Amount as Diwali Special Fund!

Suriya is currently happy and excited about the success of his recent film 'Kappaan' which is dubbed and released in Telugu as 'Bandobast'. Though the film has failed to impress the Telugu audience, it has become a super hit in Tamil. The success meet of Kaappaan has also celebrated today where the whole movie team has attended. And another news has caught the attention of the audience now. Suriya has donated Rs 10 lakhs to the Tamil Nadu Film Directors Association Trust as a 'Diwali Special Fund'.

Earlier too Suriya has made a lot of donations and he has also started the' Agaram Foundation' in 2018 which helps the children who drop their studies in the middle due to financial problems. All these things prove that Suriya is not just a great actor but also a great person. With the help of the Ministry of Education in Tamil Nadu, he has created a short commercial video outlining child poverty, labor and lack of education, titled Herova? Zerova? earlier.

On the film front, the actor who started his career with the film Nerrukku Ner in 1997 has seen many hits and flops in his career. After a lot of struggles, Suriya has made his mark in Tamil and Telugu industries. With films like Yamudu and Singam, he has gained huge popularity in Telugu. However, none of his recent films received well here. Currently, Suriya is working on his next movie 'Soorarai Pottru' under the direction of Sudha Kongara and the film will be released next year.
