Suriya to work with Mohan Babu!

Suriya’s latest offering Bandobast has failed to impress the Telugu audience. It is a Telugu dubbed film of a Tamil movie Kaappaan. It is a disaster in Telugu while in Tamil, the film got a mixed response from the audience. Suriya has no recent hits in Telugu, even though most of his movies are getting dubbed into Telugu.

Now, sources said that Suriya is going to do a straight Telugu film with Mohan Babu! According to the sources, Suriya was impressed by the script narrated by the writer. Director BVS Ravi too responded positively.

Suriya met Mohan Babu at his residence a few days ago and discussed the possibility of the project. If everything goes well, Mohan Babu will bankroll the project. More details about the film will be out soon! Suriya is currently busy in the shoot of his next film ‘Soorarai Pottru’ which is being directed by Sudha Kongara and is produced by Suriya's 2D Entertainment and co-produced by Guneet Monga of Sikhya Entertainment. The film is based on the life of Air Deccan founder Captain GR Gopinath. In this film, Mohan Babu is playing a key role.

It seems Suriya and Mohan Babu became close while shooting for this film and planning to do another film together. But this time, Mohan Babu will be the producer but there is no word if he is acting in the film. Mohan Babu was recently seen in ‘Mahanati’ movie which was released in 2018.
