Sushmita Konidela about Sye Raa Sarees!

Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is the most-awaited film of Tollywood for a long time. However, there are only a few days left for the release as it is going to hit the screens on October 2^nd, on the day of Gandhi Jayanthi. Marked as the life history of freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, Sye Raa has gained a lot of popularity before its release. The whole movie team did a lot of hard work for years to make the film perfect. Ram Charan, the actor-turned producer, has taken care of even the minute details in the film.

And we have another mega family member who has worked hard for Sye Raa and she is none other than Chiranjeevi’s elder daughter, Sushmita Konidela! Everyone knows that Sushmita is a costume designer and designed costumes for celebrities in a few films. And now, it is surprising to know that she is the one who designed costumes for Sye Raa. She designed clothes for Megastar Chiru, Amitabh, Nayantara and Tamannaah. The characters in Sye Raa need to wear 1880s clothes as the story belongs to that generation. As it is hard to find that kind of cloth in current days and there are a lot of things to know and consider about those clothes, Sushmitha took 2 years to design the clothes for the leads.

Speaking about the sarees of Nayanthara and Tamannaah, Sushmitha said they are 12-foot long silk sarees which gives a great drape. “I wore the sarees first to check weight and other issues,” said Sushmitha. She also said that she had moved to Hyderabad from Chennai to design the costumes and miss her husband!
