Sye Raa Crosses 200-Crore Milestone!

Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is riding high with box office collection since its release on 2^nd October. The movie has now crossed the 200-crore milestone in the global market on its ninth day. The movie was not widely released as compared to the other two films – Joker and War, which were released on the same day, but it is doing a decent business.

The extended first weekend saw a collection of 160.10 crores at the worldwide box office. There was a drop of 50% on Monday, but as Tuesday was a Dussehra holiday the movie’s collection showed decent growth and it collected around 29.10 crores in these two days.

Wednesday again witnessed a decline in its collection and after the 8^th day of its release, its global collection was 196.2 crores. By the end of Thursday, the movie has surpassed the 200-crore mark. The film was made on the massive budget of Rs. 300 crores.

Directed by Surender Reddy and produced by Ram Charan, the film is an epic action-drama inspired by the life of freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy. In 1846, he started a rebellion against the British East India Company.

The film features Chiranjeevi in the lead role, and Tamannaah Bhatia, Nayanthara, Sudeep, Vijay and Sethupathi in pivotal roles. Amitabh Bachchan has played guest appearances in the film and is Chiranjeevi’s mentor in the battlefield. Anushka Shetty is also seen in a cameo appearance.
