Syed Shuja's claims of EVM tampering declined by Election Commission of India
Syed Shuja, a US-based cyber expert has made sensational comments on EVM tampering. Claiming of being a part of designing electronic voting machines India during 2014, he said that the elections of 2014 were rigged and many politicians were aware of bow the EVM can be hacked. However, he had no proofs to back up his claims.
There has been many who have tried to hack the EVM's but none succeeded. However, media believed Syed Shuja as he claimed of being part in designing of EVM. congress leader Kapil Signal also flew to London to attend the meet.
However, Syed was not present at the event and he attended the event via video conferencing. He also said that BJP leader Gopinath Munde died because he was aware of rigging.
However, this claims from London were declined by the Election Commission of India which says that it "firmly stands by the empirical facts about foolproof nature of ECI EVMs deployed in elections in India" and that it is "wary of becoming a party to this motivated slugfest". They also said that these EVM's are made in strict supervisory conditions and will take strict action against the claims taken at London event.
